Day 11 of My Redemption Journey: Sloth Mode

Today is Saturday and my alarm went off at 7 am, but I did not get out of bed until about 9:30 am. I was not sleeping the entire time, I just laid there listening to the rain and the bed telling me to stay and I obliged. Second Saturday with no blues so I was in no hurry to get up. I was fighting guilt for not getting up when the alarm went off.

"I decided to not rush through this day trying to do the 101 things on my list, I am taking my sweet time today."

I really got to work on feeling guilty for resting. I decided to not rush through this day trying to do the 101 things on my list, I am taking my sweet time today because Mother Nature has been so disrespectful with all this rain. If it is not 80 degrees, sunny and raining, I am not in a hurry to move about the day – I am in “sloth mode”.

I ate cereal and a banana for breakfast. I imagined the unsweetened almond milk was sweet. It did not help but I ate the entire bowl. I had a bowl of fruit for lunch and some crab meat for dinner. Again, I was not in the mood for much prepping and cooking today. Remember – I am in “sloth mode.”

"I imagined the unsweetened almond milk was sweet."

I did a lot of cleaning today, preparing for my daughter’s baby shower. I am really excited about this fourth grandchild. My son and granddaughter came over. It is always a joy to see them. He shared some exciting news, a possible career move. I got into agreement with him, and I prayed God’s favor. I will keep you posted.
